I absolutely love this breakfast smoothie!! It's packed full of nutrients, brimming with flavour and goes down an absolute treat. Whenever I make a smoothie I want it to taste amazing, but also provide the body with all the nutrients it needs. This smoothie provides fibre from the psyllium husk, omega-3 from the chia seeds, protein from my vegan protein powder (you could use whey protein or a good quality greek yoghurt!), magnesium from the raw organic cacao, tryptophan and good fats from the cashews and LSA, and carbohydrates from the banana.
A little fun fact - if you have a protein based smoothie be sure to had in a handful (around ½ cup) of greens to your smoothie to balance our the pH, as protein can be quite acidic.
Place all ingredients in a blender / nutri-bullet and blend until creamy! Enjoy!
To make this into a smoothie bowl, use a lot less water / milk :)
