Heading to a party, BBQ or picnic? In need of a healthier snack option to bring along? Sweet Potato and Kale chips are the perfect healthier swap to the packaged food alternatives. They are super simple to make and take very litle time at all, and can be created at a minutes notice. Sweet potato will still provide you with a dose of carbohydrates, coupled by phytonutrient carotenoids (the orange pigment) and essential vitamins and minerals. Kale on the other hand is a lower calorie option, packed with nutrients and detoxifying benefits.
How I cook with food is very simple. Basic even. I like to give you formulas, inspiration and ideas to create and cook in a way that suits your lifestyle. Brussel Sprouts are one of my favourite foods... and they are extremely underrated! From the cruciferous vegetable family, Brussel Sprouts are sulphur containing vegetables (hence the somewhat pungent smell!). Brussel's are also relatively high in protein, vitamin c and vitamin k. My cumin spiced recipe is sure to keep everyone coming back for more!
This is by far my most popular recipe amongst clients. Cauliflower rice is a great alternative to rice its self or as an addition to your usual stirfry's, homemade sushi or curry's. Turmeric is also a potent anti-inflammatory, cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable (a known detoxifier or the liver) and with the addition of garlic and onion, they work as both a prebiotic and probiotic (respectively).
